Where nylon wheels are used
Nylon wheels find their home in hundreds of different applications. They’re ideal for smooth floors and wet areas, as well as those high loading areas. They’re strong but lightweight, so are perfect for equipment that needs to allow easy positioning by the user. The Nylon 6 material our nylon wheels are made from allow them to be used in areas with chemicals and large temperature swings.
Wheelco’s nylon range of wheels can be found in factories, supermarkets and food preparation areas where hygiene is of absolute priority. Cleaning and washing down equipment with nylon wheels is simple, with a design that prevents capture of dirt and grime.
The white nylon wheels we offer in our range are popular in places where non-marking is important such as showroom floors.
Industries who use our nylon wheels
Everyone from retail to supermarkets, offices to industrial processing plants have needs for our nylon wheel range. Food is one of the more common places for nylon wheels given their excellent resistance to chemicals and their cleanliness.
Advice for buying nylon wheels online
Are you currently looking to purchase nylon wheels online? Here’s some tips to help you out:
- Consider whether you need non-marking wheels. If so, choose white in most cases (or black if the floor area is black).
- Determine the load you need to carry and make sure the combined load weight of the number of wheels you’re intending to install will comfortably carry this.
- Have you measured or found out the bore diameter (hole in the centre of the wheel) that will be right for your application?
- How will the wheel be affixed to the equipment?
- What’s the diameter of the wheel you need?
- Does the supplier have the ability to supply at bulk if needed?
- Do you need a plain bore or ball bearing style nylon wheel?
- Can you get installation guidance from the supplier if you need it?
Wheelco are experts when it comes to nylon wheels, so we’re able to help you answer these questions and much more. If you know exactly what you want, the ordering process online in our shop is simple, otherwise you can get in touch with our team for a chat about your needs.
Need something outside of what’s shown above? We have you covered.
Custom orders are no problem for Wheelco. While we hold a good range of typical sizes and configurations, there are certain situations in which you require a non-standard nylon wheel. We’ll determine the specifications of what you need including diameter, colour, bore diameter and load requirements then help to source this for you.
